I should have told you this before...

Hi, everyone.

There was something I should have said a while back. I thought that if I handled the situation differently, it would not be necessary to mention it. However, after some recent news coming to light, I might as well give you this important update.

Remember on October 10th, 2021, when I got my PC back from repair the first time and that it was "working like new?" Well, it was... at first. Overtime, it started doing weird things. The function key stopped working (which was a problem because that was how I could easily access the brightness and volume on my PC), and my PC has this habit of automatically turning off regardless of battery power. The latter issue sucked because it made me lose progress on my college work without warning. Whoever fixed my PC the first time did a shitty job, and I blame Costco Concierge for it.

I had to live with this problem until around Christmas, when it was finally shipped off to a better repair service, SquareTrade (...or so I thought. More on this later.). In the meantime, I decided to install Krita on my Surface to continue drawing things, which was why, at the time, I decided not to tell you about it. Also, the fact I'm able to use Krita on my Surface when I thought it was running out of gigabytes was really surprising to me. The way I think is atypical.

It took a while for my computer to get fixed. Including my Surface, I had to improvise on finishing schoolwork by utilizing the computers I had at college. It was not exactly like having a second PC at my disposal, but it was better than nothing. I received many updates about my PC and its current status. It was not until two days ago when SquareTrade said it would finally be shipped and given to me on Monday. At that time, I metaphorically wept, knowing I would have my PC back and return to that wonderful status quo!

...or so I thought. In reality, that was not the case. Today, I discovered that my PC was beyond repair. As financial compensation, SquareTrade is giving me a check that will not arrive until Monday to pay for a new PC. At this point, my heart was broken. Spending more than two years on a PC does something to you. All the precious memories you have made are gone forever. At this point in the process, there is nothing you can do. I suppose the bright side to all this is that I am getting a new PC. Yippee, I guess?

*Sigggggggggh.* You know, I should make updates about my life more often, so you'll know about the struggles I'm going through. Like the fact that college has kept me so busy this entire month that I haven't had time to make art or even a Toon Comm commission sheet. Or that I have a urinary tract infection that probably will not heal until the start of February. However, these will be updates for another day.

Sincerely, Reilly Hendrix
